What does a Virtual Assistant do?

"But what do you do?" a question asked often and the answer is actually disappointingly vague.

"A virtual assistant is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative, technical, or creative assistance to clients remotely from a home office" - thanks to Wikipedia for this.

Really, different virtual assistants will provide you with many different services.

Email management, Social media management and creation, Book keeping, Diary management .... this list could be very long and you need to choose the VA that provides the services you need most. But really what I provide; I hope, is much more.

It's really important to make a connection with your V.A. your V.A. is there to support your business in whatever area you may need, If you are a sole trader we may be someone to take tasks off your hands so you can focus on your current priority or project. I provide my clients with project management services - helping them to break down the large goals they have into all their component parts, Once this has happened its so much easier to allocate tasks that they don't need or can't do to myself or another professional.

I have worked for clients on research, Websites edits, video editing, productivity assistance, project management and much more. The trick is to take those task you CAN'T or DON'T want to do and allow me to do them for you. This is why the connection is vital - Always take on a V.A. who you like and trust as they are going to become one of your number 1 supporters and cheerleaders. I root for the companies I work for and am as proud of their wins as if they were wins for my own company.
